Project Manager - Data Focused | Government Sector | £75,000 - £80,000 | Remote (UK-Based)

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for data and a strong background in the public sector? We're partnering with a leading organisation in search of a highly capable professional to lead a critical data-driven project within a government environment.

This is a fully remote role, open to UK-based candidates only. You'll be joining a high-impact initiative, working alongside multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders, delivering on complex data objectives while navigating stringent compliance and security frameworks.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Taking ownership of a major data project from initiation through to successful delivery - on time, within scope, and budget.

  • Creating and maintaining detailed project plans, adjusting timelines as needed and keeping all moving parts aligned.

  • Collaborating closely with government stakeholders to ensure all regulatory and security requirements are met.

  • Leading diverse project teams including analysts, engineers, and third-party vendors.

  • Identifying risks early and implementing effective mitigation strategies.

  • Ensuring end-to-end compliance with privacy standards and regulations such as GDPR and FISMA.

  • Providing regular reporting and project updates to stakeholders and leadership teams.

What We're Looking For:

  • 15+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years focused specifically on data projects within the government or public sector.

  • Strong background in data governance, compliance, and information security.

  • A confident, hands-on leader with experience guiding technical and non-technical teams.

  • Proficient in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or similar platforms.

  • Holds, or is eligible to obtain, SC clearance.

  • Relevant qualifications - PMP, Agile, or equivalent certifications are a plus.

  • A Bachelor's degree is essential; a Master's degree is advantageous.
