Our customer is a market leader of industrial products, providing high-quality solutions to customers across various sectors. They specialise in designing, manufacturing, and installing bespoke industrial systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

Job Role

W Talent are supporting a market leading manufacturer on finding a new Site Services Manager based in South Yorkshire. The incoming incumbent will oversee the contracts, installation, commissioning, and aftercare of all industrial products on customer sites. They will manage a team of field engineers and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong background in site management, health & safety compliance, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Site Operations & Project Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all on-site installations and service activities.
  • Ensure projects are executed efficiently, meeting deadlines, quality standards, and customer expectations.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource allocation plans, and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with internal teams (engineering, production, and logistics) to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure all site personnel are trained and adhere to safety protocols, including method statements and permit-to-work systems.
  • Manage site audits, inspections, and compliance documentation.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and develop a team of site engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct performance reviews, training, and development initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
  • Ensure all personnel are equipped with the necessary tools, PPE, and technical knowledge for their tasks.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Work closely with sales and aftersales teams to support customer requirements and identify new service opportunities.

Financial & Commercial Responsibilities

  • Manage site service budgets, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure efficient resource utilization to maximize profitability.
  • Oversee subcontractor agreements, ensuring work is delivered to the agreed scope and cost.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar role within an industrial manufacturing, engineering, or construction environment is essential.
  • Strong understanding of installation, commissioning, and servicing of industrial products.
  • Proven financial acumen.
  • Extensive knowledge of health & safety regulations e.g., CDM (essential)
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems is advantageous.
